Rivera - Author Bio K.L. Rivera is a writer whose work moves across genres, blending romance, contemporary fiction, and speculative storytelling. Her writing explores identity, belonging, love, and legacy, often through characters caught between where they come from, who they are expected to be, and who they are still becoming. She is especially drawn to the emotional fault lines within relationships, and to the choices that can bring out the best and worst in people. At the heart of her work is a desire to center characters from across the Latino diaspora in stories across genres, from contemporary romance and family drama to fantasy and suspense. She also believes they should have the freedom to fall in love, uncover family secrets, chase impossible things, make terrible decisions, save the day, and sometimes be the villain. K.L. writes short stories, poetry, essays, and novels, often weaving romance and introspection into stories that don’t always fit neatly into one box.
